Hi Avinash,
This can be done without macros by entering the following formula into column c & copying it down.
hth![]()

I required a macro code to do it. I have a huge list of departments and where in the text in the column C will be changing as per the requirement.
I will give you another example. I am attaching the template in this thread.
Based on the values of the column A and Column B, the Column C should populate the City name.
Awaiting your reply
Hi,
I need a pro to assist me with the above situation.
AB![]()
Hi Rob,
My apologies for not being clear. This being my first post, I was not able to provide you with adequate data.
Well, what I need is, the cell in the Column C to be auto populated based on the values entered in the Cells pertaining to Column A and Column B.
There is a chart designed for the Cell values of Column C based on its Column A and Column B inputs.
I am attaching the detailed template in this thread. Please review the same and let me know how to achieve it using the Macro but not with the excel functions.
Regards,
Avinash.
Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
Please remove the word macro from the title
Hope that helps.

Hi Ravi,
I really appreciate your efforts to assist me. This could possibly be one of the solutions.
The problem here with this code is that it refreshes the entire column when I have to update new entries.
Is there any way where we can be able to directly populate the cell values in column C or just refresh the cells which are empty but not the cells which are already populated.
Regards,
Avinash

hi Avinash,
Sorry for the lack of response, I have not had access to a computer over the past week. Do you still need help with this problem?
If no more help is needed, can you please post your solution & mark this thread as solved?
Rob
Hi Rob,
I didn't post my problem because it was similiar to Avinash's. Just wanted to say thanks your solution helped me solve my problem! Again, thanks!
Judy
