Hi, first time posting, I'm pretty tech savvy and know a little excel, but trying to learn more about what can be achieved within Excel.

I'm using an online textbased game I play as it kinda makes sense, any data that I would need to play with, I can get, IE accounts, working formulas say for a cut and paste list of accounts to sort cost of bullets for a crew wipe blah blah. Means little to you I understand but I'm finding it useful as it is polishing and boarding my excel skills.

I've stumbled across a problem with links such as http://downtown-mafia.com/profile.php?i=L-Lawliet

L-Lawliet is the account name, now, if I access this hyperlink from say skype, it will make me directly to the accounts profile page. In Excel it will not, and directs me to the /main.php

I hope to using specific Links to macro and pull information into excel for analyst.

I know its very childish, but I really am finding using the data that would have to be manually 'screened' without excel, very useful in finding new ways and new things within excel which I hope in the near future will handy for work projects. For example, one of the better things I've learnt recently is using the VLOOKUP within IF to query tables of contents.

I really am at a miss why this is happening, google searches haven't provided and answer, or even a replica of the problem.

Any ideas are most welcome.
