Research on Excel Efficiency: Keyboard vs Mouse

Has anyone seen any studies or research on how much more efficient one can work using the keyboard instead of the mouse in Excel?

I've seen several websites say "studies show you can work 10 times faster", but none of them link to any study.

I've also seen a 1989 study by Apple that shows the mouse is more efficient than the keyboard, but that's obviously not what I want.

    Thanks in advance.

Sites like Google Scholar (http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=...n&as_sdt=0%2C5) is a good place to start searching. The problem is it is highly unlikely to be any recent research in this field since we are far past the point of comparing keyboard to mouse. So you will probably have to dig back to the early days of DOS and early Windows/ Mac Operating Systems. If you have access to a University with a librarian specialized in IT, AI, etc., they could be of great help in identifying the older literature.

    Thanks,

I've already played around with Google Scholar and didn't find anything.

I don't need hard "scientific" research. Really just any attempt to quantify keyboard vs mouse speed. I imagine the study would have to be Excel specific.

I'll keep looking, but was hoping someone else knew of something.
