I avoid gridlines where possible, especially on sheets tat are not spare (i.e. most cells are filled and the eye can easily follow a row or column). There is a disability that means some reader's eyes areunable to handle grids. Spare sheets do need some lines to help, but be selective. To stop printing if you leave them in:
