conditional formatting

Morning Folks,

In B10:B107 I have this formula

The same cells also have conditional formatting applied.

The issue is blank cells in b10;b107 are formatting as red...... does anyone know how i can prevent this from happening?

When value is 0, then cell is green.

Try the second condition of the conditional formatting.

Do it between 1 to 5

Not 0 to 5

Hello Blake,

you have four conditional formatting rules active on the range. Two of them format the range in a shade of red (i.e. value < 0 and value >= 10). The latter one is TRUE, because an empty cell evaluates to =0.

What do you actually want to achieve?

You may need to use formulas instead of the pre-fab Excel default "cell value" cases.

What I want to achieve is this.

Cells B10:B107 are a deadline countdown which tell the user how many days there are left to respond to a complaint.

I wanted to add conditional formatting so it is very clear at a glance which ones are urgent.

So, the RAG is based on Green = 10 days and over left to respond Amber = between 6 and 9 days left to respond and Red 5 days and less left to respond obviously -days when deadline in the past will be red too.

The issue i am encountering is the the Blank Cells withing the range b10:b107 are appearing as red. I would like them to be left without formating! cheers
