Hello, is there a hotkey which simulates doublclicking on cell, selecting all text within cell and copying the selection?
Thank you.

No ctrl+c makes copy of cell with formatting. Perhaps a hotkey for paste special 'values only' would do the trick.
The only combination I know of is a series of "hotkeys". F2 function key --> Shift + home --> Ctrl + C. Is this what you are looking for?

here is code I use for copy-->paste special in the same cell.

Alt + h + v + v will paste values. That is about it for a keyboard shortcut to paste values.

Sadly it doesn't work for me. I often have to copy contetnts of cell and paste it to formula which is in another cell. Doing with mouse is rather tedious. I can't link the cell which contains the string I need to paste, because the string and formula are in areas which filters independently. So both relative and absolute possitions are dynamic.
Make use of the Clipboard. On the Home tab, Clipboard, click on the little Dialogue Launcher (lower right corner) and click on options and select Show Office Clipboard when Ctrl +C Pressed Twice.
This will allow you to copy up to 24 separate items and then you can select what you want to paste as required.
Perhaps if you told us a full story, we might be able to supply a workable solution instead of guessing at what you need.
