Could someone help me understand what the following formual is referencing?
=INDIRECT("'"&$A17&"'"&"!$Bs$86")
cell BS86 on a sheet whos name is stored in A17
A tab named whatever is in A17 and Cell BS86.
INDIRECT translates a string into references. =A1, =INDIRECT("A"&0+1), =INDIRECT(CHAR(ROW(A1)+64)&100-99) all reference A1. It's useful for creating many formulas without editing individual parameters by hand.

and it's also unnecessarily long. this is the same:
=INDIRECT("'"&$A17&"'!$Bs$86")
When I say semicolon, u say comma!
