    Variable multipliers

    Hi

Great forum you have here, hopefully I can help answer some threads over time.

Wondering if you might be able to help with a problem I'm having. I'm trying to write a formula to vary a multiplier based on the value.

I will have a number of Unit sales e.g. 550 and want to multiply the first 200 by £5, then the next 300 by £3 the next 500 by £1.5, and perhaps continue beyond that. Ideally I would want to have the parameters and multipliers in a table (to make it easier to change them) then reference the table with a formula.

It feels like it should be really easy to do, and I have a very untidy Nested If formula to do it for a couple of levels but the formula is becoming unwieldy as I get past 3 different multipliers (hence me thinking referencing a table could be the answer).

Anyway, apologies for rambling - hope I've supplied enough information and I appreciate any help on this matter.

    Thanks

Superb, thanks Guys. I shall have a look when back in the office tomorrow but at first glance, looks like this is solved.
