    Finding numbers that add to a total

    is there a find function that will search the worksheet to find numbers that add up to a certain number?

    The only thing I can think of would be to create an =IF formula for it . . .

    =IF(A1+B1=10,"YES","NO")

    Where A and B are the columns that you would want to add up to equal a certain number and 10 being whatever number you want to find. From there you can identify the "YES" rows and can sort to make it easier to identify.

    I have tested a lot of different code solutions and the best way is SumMatch from SumMatch com. It is good to compare the trial version against other solutions (php, tushan, etc). SumMatch is far better and faster and there is a new version 1.6. The price is so low that it makes no sense to waste time, that is if you really are into doing work not moking around with rubish slowish code. I would like SumMatch to have a function that can be called from anywhere in the spreadsheet but it looks like that is the next version they are working on.
    Anyway, at U$S 30.- there is not much you can buy this days. Here is the screenSpreadsheetWithBalloons.jpg
