Determine pipe diameter with 2 known values

    Good evening,

I am preparing a sheet to determine the diameter of a pipe.

There are two know values, the rain water load and the slope of the pipe.

With these values I want to find the correct diameter of the pipe, by looking up the correct values from the table.

I have attached the sheet with all values.

    Can anybody assist/help me?

    Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards,
    KJ

I'm assuming the diameter is quoted on row 8:9 that goes, 100, 125, 150, etc?

If so, in B23, type in:

Incredible, thanks a lot, that's exactly what I was looking for.

    Again thank you so much.

I will investigate how the formulas are applied, and find out if I can make it work myself.

    Thanks.

Re: Determine pipe diameter with 2 known values

    Hi Quekbc,

I have just filled in a view small numbers into the cell "amount of rain" this will change the rain water load to 1.6875 l/s.
With a slope of 0.5 cm/m the diameter that has to show up is 100mm, but the "#NA" result shows up.

I was trying to make some changes to the formula, but it still gives me the "#NA" result.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong/have to do?

    Kind regards,
    KJ

Ah, I see it. The MATCH isn't really happy with smaller rain water load, especially if its below the smallest number there.

Made a small change to the formula.
