Problem - Pulling Month of Last Purchase

    Hello,

I am struggling with how to accomplish something I am trying to do, but I will describe as best as I can.

I have a series of columns arranged by Month after my leading column, which shows my accounts.

What I am trying to do is identify the last month that an account purchased a product. If they had never purchased anything, then the field will show "None"

I have no clue how to accomplish this in excel. Attached is an example of how the spreadsheet looks and what the column should show.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Last Purchased Month - Example (1).xlsx

Ignore the other 2 attached files. Example 1 is the correct one. It won't let me delete the others.

I couldn't upload oeldere's file to see if I've duplicated efforts. This is one way.

Sorry for the dealyed response on this thread. My company had this site blocked and I had to get it unblocked. Thank you all for helping me out with this. I guess I need to see how the lookup function works. I use vlookup and hlookup often, as well as match/index. Something new to learn!

Thank you for the solution, Flame. I was hoping you could help me understand the logic behind the way you used the function. If I can figure it out, then I can apply to other complex scenarios. Thanks!

One of the forum experts gave a clean short presentation on LOOKUP recently. I was impressed, and saved the URL here:

Perhaps this will give you a good place to start.
