I want to restrict the data entry in range c5:c50. I used custom data validation for it using the formula
But no require output.

How to use data validation to restrict the data entry as:
Numbers between: 0:25
Letters: Ab
Letters: L
In short user has to enter any value within this range and no other value is allowed in this range.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Try this....
Select C5:C50 --> Data Validation --> From Allow drop down select Custom --> In the formula box type the formula given below --> OK.

I think what you need to do is select cell C5, go to data validation -> Custom -> formula and use:

Then if you copy cell c5 all the way down to cell c50 the logic should change with it. So the data validation for C50 will be:

Note: this will accept, 0 to 25, AB, Ab, ab, aB, L and l. If uppercase and lowercase matter to you, feel free to ask for more help.

The solution suggested by Sktneer is perfect because it didn't allow any value exact than the requirement including upper/lower case.
