Punnam
Hello Punnam,
Thank you for your response to solve my problem. I have created a output table in the file attached for your reference to correct the formula.
Thanking you,
Do u want me to check all the formula including the Rank also or just to check the Top 5 data Alone .
I found all the results TRUE when Compared Check the yellow colored cells
Punnam
Hi Punnam,
Thank you for correcting the formula. Please let me know what mistake I have done so that I will avoide it in future.
Now the output is correct but for more accuracy please check the formulas including rank for error free ranking and avoide injustice on the student due to formula error.
The criteria of ranking is:
First 'P All' students in descending order of total marks.
Secondly, F1 students in descending order of marks.
Thirdly, F2 students in descending order of total marks.
Fourthly, F3 students in descending oreder of total marks
Fifthly, F4 students in descending order of total marks.
Sixthly, F5 students in descending order of total marks and so on till F9 students.
Just check it and inform me whether it is right or wrong?
Thanking you,
Hi Punnam,
The formulas are working fine in English file but it’s not giving correct output in Devanagari version. I have added the Devanagari headings in the file in row below the English headings in row7.
Please see and inform me why it’s not working. It's giving error n/a.
Sorry for trouble.
Thanking you,

It would be nice (and perhaps usefull) to other forummembers to refer to that topic.
It looks to me this is a related topic too.

The problem is solved in English version but not working in devanagari font. So I have posted it here. It is working absolutely fine when I enter English headings in place of devanagari text. I don't want any change in formulas in the table because it's working absolutely fine. Only the problem is that it's not working in devanagari version. Why the look up is not working in devanagari font? It is my problem now and not of table formulas.
Please suggest me what shall I do so that the look up will work in devanagari font.
Waiting to receive a positive solution eagerly to solve the problem.
I have not repeated the same problem here although the problem is close to each other. Please ignore it and give me a solution to work look up in devanagari font positively. Please don't mind because you are giveing me a best solutions time to time which I expect now. I always appreciate you for the same. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Thanking you,
Try in your sheet1, cell-T6, replace rank with गुणानुक्रम, it will give the output, like wise check all your lookups and references ,

Hello Sktneer,
First of all I appreciate your efforts to solve my problem. I have inserted the suggested formulas in my original file but unfortunately it's not working. I have attached my file here for your kind perusal.
I'm using devanagari fonts for the the sheet. I think you may read it easily as you know hindi.
Thanking you,
Try this Array formula.

Hi Sktneer,
Excellent! It's absolutely working fine. What a tricky formula to achieve a target.
You are a master of a array formula. I appreciate you for the same.
Thank you.
You're welcome. Thanks for the feedback.
As far as the array formula is concerned, the formula was already there on your sheet. I just corrected the range referenced in the formula. The credit also goes to Punnam who contributed equally in solving the issue.![]()
Thank you to both of you Punnam and Sktneer for solving the problem.
I appreciate both of you for solving my problems time to time positively.
Thank you and have a nice day.
