    Count current year monthwise entries formula

    Hi all,
    I use this formula to count number of entries month wise.
    Following example is for Month of Feb

    How can I convert this to count entries for current year ( of course month wise)

    Help requested.

    Hi,

    Refer workbook attached.

    In cells marked in Red, you can change values as you need and the cell in Blue would give you the Count accordingly from column A.

    Thanks.
    First formula kindly suggested by you is understood, it will count yearwise entries.
    The second one ofcourse will count monthwise. No verywell understood as how this will help in counting current year monthwise count.

    Thanks for reply.
    Your solution is very interesting one.
    However every year I will have to manually enter year number.
    I tried to modify your example, by replacing manually inputted year'2014' with formula =Today() and cell formatted to show year.
    However this will not work.
    Is it possible that cell '2014' keeps changing as per current year.
    A food for thought.

    This forum is great, so much knowledge. I have used the formula from this thread and it works wonderfully. My only problem is when there is blank cells or text cells it will show #VALUE!
    My formula is =SUMPRODUCT(--(YEAR(F15:F34)=YEAR(TODAY())))
    I will be very grateful if someone can Help
